Abstract

Jednostka, wspólnota i państwo. Przypadek Larisy Arap

Po upadku Związku Radzieckiego władze Rosji podejmowały liczne starania oto, by opinia publiczna uwierzyła, że problem nadużyć w psychiatrii orazwykorzystania jej do celów politycznych został rozwiązany. Według raportów i danych z ostatnich 10 lat znane z okresu radzieckiego nadużycia w tej dziedzinie wciąż mają miejsce. Nadal wskazać można konkretne przypadki bezprawnego kierowania pacjentów na przymusowe leczenie, wydawania błędnychekspertyz psychiatrycznych (czy to krzywdzących pacjenta, czy próbujących usprawiedliwić jego postępowanie). Tego typu obserwacje skłaniają do podjęciarefleksji na temat wzajemnych relacji między jednostką a państwem, a takżerolą wspólnoty w procesie kształtowania społeczno‑ politycznego ładu orazwzajemnych relacji międzyludzkich w państwie, jak również zastanowienia się nad kondycją samej psychiatrii we współczesnej Rosji. Odnieść bowiemmożna wrażenia, że mimo wielu zmian, jakie dokonały się w przestrzeni kulturyrosyjskiej w ciągu ostatnich dwóch dekad, celem jej wciąż jest raczej ochrona interesów państwa niż zapewnianie opieki chorym. Tak postawioną tezę ilustruje przypadek Larisy Arap.

Author Biography

Bartłomiej Brążkiewicz, Uniwersytet Jagielloński

Is a Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities, specializing in Russian literature and cultural studies, on his position as assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology of Russian Culture at Institute of Russian and East European Studies, Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He is member of The Commission on Slavonic Culture working under the auspices of Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. His Interests cover interdisciplinary research in social sciences and humanities, focusing on Russian literature and culture from the late 19th century to the present day. His research publications include papers in periodical publications, texts in edited volumes and two scholarly monographs: Psychiatria radziecka jako instrument walki z opozycją polityczną w latach 1918‑1984, Wydawnictwo Adam Marszałek, Toruń 2004; and Choroba psychiczna w literaturze i kulturze rosyjskiej, Wydawnictwo Księgarnia Akademicka, Kraków 2011.
