United Kingdom’s Approach Towards the Global Order in the Period of the Russian-Ukrainian War

The global order is changing and many share the belief that it could be a radical change. Russia’s war against Ukraine is seen as a turning point, although symptoms of the collapse of the international order have been visible since the beginning of the 21st century. The United Kingdom is a superpower in the Western Bloc, but with the ambition and potential to play an important role on a global scale. This article therefore aims to present the British position on the changing world order. The basis for the qualitative analysis is mainly official documents and statements, but also the opinions of experts and the ongoing discourse. The period of detailed research is the years 2022-2023, when the discussion about the crisis and the change of order intensified after Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Of course, the concepts directly preceding these years, which are comparative material, will be taken into account.
