This review article presents artificial intelligence (AI) development, from cal-culating machines to systems which can decide and perform semantic analy-sis. It describes manner in which digital systems learn, a wide range of use these systems and analyses the place of such systems in economy, health care, politics and personal life. The author criticises cliché which antagonise humans and ma-chines, and emphasises that artificial intelligence tools work as assisting technol-ogies, cooperate with humans, simultaneously describes threats connecting with data monopolization, limiting competition and human misuse of AI systems.
