THE POLISH UNDERGROUND PRESS IN THE FACE OF THE WARSAW GHETTO UPRISING
The Polish underground press, representing a variety of views and ideologies, had a diverse approach to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. In their articles, they often spoke favorably about the spirit of Jewish resistance in the face of Nazi cruelty, seeing this act of desperation and courage as an act of national solidarity in the fight for common values. The press also emphasized the political context, analyzing the situation as part of the broader fight for Poland’s independence.
