Habilitated Doctor, Professor at the Jagiellonian University, Head of the Department of the History of Polish Political Thought at the Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University, Deputy Director of the General Emil Fieldorf ‘Nil’ Home Army Museum in Kraków. His academic research focuses on the history and ideology of Polish nationalism, with particular emphasis on the period of the Second World War, and on the history of the Home Army, mainly in the area of the former Eastern Borderlands of the Second Polish Republic. He is the author of numerous academic studies on the aforementioned topics, and the initiator and principal developer of the Home Army Soldiers from the Polish Eastern Borderlands database.

A graduate in history from the Institute of History at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She currently works at the General Emil Fieldorf ‘Nil’ Home Army Museum in Kraków, where she is carrying out a research project entitled ‘Home Army Soldiers from the Polish Eastern Borderlands’, which forms part of the ‘In the Footsteps of Independent Poland’ programme sponsored by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science. She is also a PhD student at the Doctoral School of the Jan Długosz University in Czestochowa, where she is writing her doctoral thesis: ‘The Communist apparatus of repression against soldiers of the ZWZ-AK “Żelbet” Group in the years 1944–1989’.
