About the Journal

The journal Brewing Studies is an international, open access, peer-reviewed annual. The journal focuses on a wide range of aspects of brewing and malting, from the perspectives of history, cultural history, archaeology, sociology, linguistics, technology and the role of beer and brewing in the modern world. The journal is also open to related topics, in particular wine and other spirits, anti-alcohol movements, prohibition, etc. The reference version of the journal is electronic; the journal is also published in paper form.
