RESTRICTION OF FREEDOMS AND RIGHTS VS. MIGRATION OF SYRIAN KURDS
This article focuses on analysing the factors pushing Kurds out of Syria. The starting point for the research is the analysis of negative, positive, and political freedom. The article puts forward the thesis that the restriction of freedom and rights of Kurds in Syria was a decisive factor pushing them out of the country. In this context, an attempt is made to answer the following questions: 1) what is positive and negative freedom?, 2) what freedoms and rights were guaranteed to the citizens by the constitution of Syria?, 3) how were the freedom and rights of Kurds restricted in Syria?, 4) how many Kurds emigrated from Syria and where did they go?
