Review Process
The review process of Krakow Yearbook based on recommendations of Committee of Ethics in Science (zob. Dobre praktyki w procedurach recenzyjnych w nauce, Warsaw 2011) and principles of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), see more: Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
- Submitting an article is tantamount to consenting to its inclusion in the review procedure.
- Submitted papers and source publications are submitted to an initial formal agency by the Editorial Board members.
- After passing the initial evaluation, the article is sent to the external evaluation.
- Each publication is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. The editors select the most suitably qualified reviewers in a specific field.
- Reviewer must hold at least a PhD.
- Reviewers are appointed from an academic institution other than that of the Author’s.
- In the reviewing model neither authors nor reviewers know each other’s identities (double-blind review).
- The review has a written form.
- The review concludes with unequivocal decision concerning submitted article.
- All authors will inform about review result and will give review form for insight.
- All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.
- If the reviewers indicate a wide field of amendments, the article may be re-submitted for external evaluation.
- All authors have a right to dispute on substantive matter with review.
- The final decision to qualify or reject the article belongs to the Editorial Board.
