LONDON 20 MARESFIELD GARDENS – THE LAST RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS OF SIGMUNT FREUD (1856-1939) IN EXILE
The time of breaking points of history/civilization are often periods of incertitude and risk. If changes accelerate, arise, also strains, often create turbulence and chaos. They often cause in single man and whole society defensive psychological, social and economic notions. There are some muddled conceptions, ambiguous, but temporary useful. Today we frequently meet fears and hopes connected with artificial intelligence. The hundred, hundred and fifty years ago one of many treatments of world’s crises, caused by industrial revolution, economic stratification, overpopulation, rapid social changes, even emerge of socialistic ideology appeared (among others) psychoanalytic methods elaborated by professor Sigmund Freud. Whether this view is actual yet, what is its proposition in the presence of improvements of technology, disastrous impacts of climate and on the other side, old, ancient and principal questions of human existence. All as result of inspection to Sigmund Freud’s last home in London, Maresfield Gardens 20, its adornment, and through events from final days of famous scholar, before his death.
