Norms for a Bibliography of Literature Translated

The article examines the contents and the structure of twenty bibliographies of foreign literature translated into Polish, from partial ones (those concerning one single translator, like Maciej Słomczyński (1922-1998). Bibliografia, by Monika Kucharczyk-Kubacka, 2008; one epoch, like Bibliografia literatury tłumaczonej na język polski 1945-1980 by Stanisław Bębenek, 1983; one genre, like Od Boccaccia do Eco. Włoska proza narracyjna w Polsce (od XVI do XXI wieku) by Jadwiga Miszalska, Monika Gurgul, Monika Surma-Gawłowska, Monika Woźniak, 2011) to global, like Index Translationum. While highly appreciating the qualities of each bibliography, the article regrets the absence of an bibliography permitting the advanced studies on literature transfer, on the model of Nausikaa.
